NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea's Agora Gallery will highlight the first work of Ellen Cuylaerts in Encounters: Nature and Culture. The show opens March 13, 2018 and goes through April 3, 2018 with an opening gathering on Thursday, March 15 from 6-8 pm.
Cayman Islands-based craftsman Ellen Cuylaerts photos sea-going untamed life around the globe, featuring the particular associations between man, creature, and condition. Surrendering the convention of clear, narrative photography, Cuylaerts passes on her abstract view of her creature experiences. The subsequent pictures report the momentary minute in which picture taker and creature set up common understanding and two universes interface.
Cuylaerts investigates and picks her subjects dependent on preservation and natural worries with an end goal to encourage mindfulness in regards to environmental change and loss of territory. In pictures, for example, In Between Worlds, the craftsman catches a solitary seal in the midst of a cold scene, however an angling ship lingers out of sight as a kind of perspective to the savage threats exhibited by people. In her submerged photos, for example, Wild, Cuylaerts catches a misconstrued shark with empathy, the sensational, sifted light intervened and enhanced by her focal point to catch the passionate effect of the experience
